Revenue Finance Business Partner

HOW WILL YOU MAKE A DIFFERENCE?

As a Revenue Finance Business Partner, you will be responsible for providing strategic financial support and insights to the business, with a specific focus on revenue generation and optimisation. Working closely with Sales, Marketing, Customer Success and other departments, you will ensure that financial and business goals are aligned and help drive sustainable growth. You will also be involved in budgeting, forecasting, pricing strategies, and financial analysis related to revenue.

VARIED DAY TO DAY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Revenue Analysis & Strategy:

·       Collaborate with business leaders to develop revenue strategies and financial plans.

·       Provide insights on revenue trends, growth opportunities, and risks, with recommendations to optimise revenue performance.

·       Analyse revenue drivers, such as customer acquisition, retention, and pricing strategies.

·       Lead regular financial reviews and forecasting of revenue performance against targets.

  • Financial Reporting & Forecasting:

·       Prepare and review weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue forecasts.

·       Provide accurate and timely financial reports to senior management, highlighting key trends and variances.

·       Work with accounting and operations teams to ensure accurate revenue recognition.

  • Business Partnership & Support:

·       Act as a trusted advisor to sales, customer success, marketing, and product teams, providing financial expertise on business decisions. 

·       Work closely with all teams to give greater visibility over future performance and to drive actions to deliver results.

·       Partner with the revenue teams to analyse sales performance, identify revenue risks, and support commission structures.

·       Support the pricing process by evaluating cost structures and market conditions to ensure competitive and profitable pricing.

  • Budgets & Financial Planning:

·       Collaborate in the preparation of annual budgets and sales team target setting

·       Ensure that revenue targets and business plans are aligned with financial goals.

  • Process Improvement:

·       Identify opportunities to improve revenue processes, systems, and controls.

·       Drive process efficiencies through automation, data analytics, and reporting tools.

  • Cross-functional Collaboration:

·       Liaise with product, marketing, and sales teams to ensure business decisions are financially sound and aligned with broader financial objectives.

·       Support business unit leaders in understanding financial implications of key decisions.

WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR IN A CANDIDATE?

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.

  • Professional accounting qualification (e.g., CIMA, ACCA).

  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in finance, with a focus on revenue or business partnering.

  • Strong knowledge of financial modelling, forecasting, and budgeting techniques.

  • Experience with financial and CRM systems and tools (e.g., NetSuite, HubSpot, Excel).

  • Excellent analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work cross-functionally and influence decision-making.

  • Strong business acumen and problem-solving skills.

Desired Skills:

  • Experience in SaaS KPIS such as ARR, GRR, NRR, LTV/CAC

  • Advanced Excel skills, with proficiency in financial modelling.

  • Knowledge of accounting principles, including revenue recognition standards (ASC 606, IFRS).
